Hey all! We’re hoping you are all having a great start to April! For those of us in the northern hemisphere we are loving the budding flowers and hints of spring around the corner. We’re getting more sunlight, spending more time outdoors and enjoying the beginning of warmer weather.
With that said, we here at Category Stories have decided to take a break for awhile. There have been some family commitments come up for most of the CS team, and we’re needing some time to focus on that. We hope when we return later in the year you’ll join us again! We truly appreciate all your support and friendship over the years!
Have a great spring!

Hello Storytellers! Welcome to February!
This month’s prompt is meant to play with your senses. Is there a particular smell that reminds you of a day out? Does hearing a song remind you of a birthday? We want to know!!
Remember, you can link us to a layout, a card, a minibook etc. nothing is off limits!
We look forward to seeing what you come up with. Remember to link here or our flickr group for the chance to be our next guest designer.

And our guest this month,Yvonne Yam!!
Greetings from Singapore! :) My name is Yvonne and I love to make stuff! My style is eclectic at best but really a mishmash of whatever tickles my fancy at that point in time! I do, however, try my best to upcycle and incorporate found objects in my creations! :) Come visit me at my blog Do More With Less!

Congrats Yvonne – just email us at catgegory (dot) stories @ ymail (dot) com about being our Fabulous Guest Storyteller for February!
Thanks also to everyone who played along, all your pages were sensational! Can’t wait to see what you do with the January category.
Actually, what does freak me out at the moment also is how quickly time flies! WOW Hello January 2011 (I am sure yesterday was approximately October 2002…!).
Our January prompt is “______ freaks me out”, and here is what the team came up with!
So tell us what feaks you out! Upload your creation by Jan 31 to our flickr group (or link back here) and we’ll choose a person to be our guest designer! Check back in a few days when we announce the winner of the Guest spot from the December category.
That’s our December prompt, “Merry” for all things festive, joyful and fun. We hope you’re enjoying your holiday season, where ever you are in the world and will play along with us this month.
Before the Category Stories gals show their projects, we’d like to introduce our December guest designer, the ultra fabulous Julie Wolek-Tucker, the master scrapbooker so many of you already know!! She was so kind as to design a Merry layout for us this month, we love it, and think you will, too. As many of you already have gone to Julie’s blog or had her visit yours, she probably one of the most kind-hearted ladies we know, and we thought she’d be the perfect guest designer for the month of merry feelings!
Here’s her Merry creation;
Isn’t it just lovely??? Thanks Julie!!!!
And here’s the Category Stories ladies;
We hope you’re enjoying yourself and getting ready for the holidays! Any special plans? Please remember to upload your layout to our Flickr group here so we can see your lovely creations and pick you as the next Guest Designer!
